Chiron Review has published since 1982, exceptional longevity in the lit mag world. Chiron has been very supportive of my work—this is my sixth appearance since 2016. I received a wonderful pre-Thanksgiving reminder of how much I have to be grateful for this morning. My beautiful contributor’s copy of Chiron Review arrived in the mail. It includes three of my poems about alcoholism and recovery, “Mementos,” “Sobriety and its Discontents,” and “Blue Flashing Lights.” I’m thankful to be alive, thankful to be sober, thankful for my poetry community and thankful for this beautiful world.
